Mark Edward Ringer

Mark grew up on an island in Western Washington and has lived in Colorado since his teens. He was inspired to practice law when a professor showed how a small nuance of fact could completely change the outcome of a legal case. Mark retired from a law enforcement career spanning Colorado and Kansas, having investigated everything from traffic infractions to serious felonies and at times serving as the only police presence for a thousand square miles.

Mark earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and returned there later for law school, where he earned a graduate certificate in juvenile and family law along with his law degree.

Using the nuances of each case to forge solutions amidst deeply personal and emotionally intense circumstances has been Mark’s focus both in law enforcement and legal practice. A natural fit in family law and criminal defense, Mark has also practiced civil litigation with the firm and prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases with a Colorado district attorney’s office while in law school. Mark has taken many cases to hearings and trials before judges and juries, and he has negotiated favorable settlements to end disputes in many more.

Mark likes to stay busy, and outside the firm volunteers his time in legal and leadership positions with several nonprofit organizations and government agencies. He enjoys exploring Colorado, Germany, and beyond with his wife and three children.
