Mark R. Smith

Mark R. Smith is an Associate at the Las Vegas office of Resnick & Louis, P.C, with 12 years of civil litigation experience. Mark practices in the areas of Civil Litigation, General Liability, Automobile Liability, Premises Liability, Dog Bite Liability, and other areas of Insurance Defense. Before joining Resnick & Louis, Mark was Field Legal Counsel for a large well-known insurance company. Mark began his legal career as Associate at a boutique law firm, managing cases from start to finish in the areas of civil litigation, business law, family law, probate, and entertainment/intellectual property law, before opening his own firm, where he continued to practice in these same areas.Mark earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. School of Law; and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Management from Regis University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, while working full time as a civilian contractor at the U.S. Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base.During law school, while still working full time to support his family, Mark served as President of the Law Student Chapter of the Nevada Justice Association (formerly the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association), was named an Outstanding Student, participated in the school’s Partners in Pro Bono Program, and was a finalist in the law school’s First Annual Society of Advocates Mock Trial Competition.During his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, his three adult daughters, and his grandchildren. Mark is an avid sports fan and is passionate about motocross and off-road riding/racing.Mark is licensed to practice law in the state of Nevada.
