Biography

Mark T. Beaman is an experienced trial attorney and administrative lawyer . He has been with the Firm since 1998. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has been representing physicians in medical malpractice litigation and in cases before the Texas Medical Board for over 30 years. Mark was recognized as a “Texas Super Lawyer”, a Thompson Reuters publication, from 2006-2013 and 2015-2022. Since 2005, Mark has been recognized in the annual edition of The Best Lawyers in America, by BL Rankings, for Medical Malpractice Law and Personal Injury Litigation. He was recently commended by The Best Lawyers in America for his fifteenth year to be chosen for inclusion. He is also listed as a recommended attorney in Physician, Protect Thyself, a book on malpractice prevention. Mark graduated from the University of Virginia in 1976 with a degree in Government and Foreign Affairs. He obtained his legal education at the University of Arkansas Law School in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was a member and an Associate Editor of the Arkansas Law Review.

Mark practices in both state and federal courts throughout Texas. He is licensed to practice in the Supreme Court of Texas, Texas Courts of Appeals, Texas trial courts, the United States District Court for the Western, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas. He also has handled appeals and is admitted to practice in the Texas Courts of Civil Appeals, the Texas Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and Austin Bar Association. He is a member and past director of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. In addition to medical malpractice cases and medical board actions he has also handled a wide variety of personal injury, insurance coverage, employment law, products liability, and construction defect cases .
