ABOUT MARK Mark attended the University of Iowa as an undergraduate before enrolling in Luther College, in Decorah, Iowa.  He graduated with a B.A. in computer science. He was accepted at the University of Iowa College of Law in 2000, then ranked among the nation’s top 10% of all law schools. He deferred enrollment for one year, and began studying law in 2001. He also studied law at Oxford University in England. He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in May of 2004. After working for a law firm for one year, he decided to start his own practice. In addition to his private practice, Mark has handled hundreds of criminal and juvenile cases on a contract basis through the Iowa State Public Defender's Office.  Mark served as defense counsel with the Johnson County Drug Treatment Court for roughly 8 years, and subsequently served as a Judicial Magistrate for the Sixth Judicial District for over 7 years. Now he focuses solely on his private criminal law practice.
