Biography

Marty Fojas focuses his practice on trade secrets and restrictive covenant litigation, employment counseling and litigation, and wage and hour litigation. He is an experienced commercial litigator who has tried numerous commercial and wage and hour cases in state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York.

Marty regularly advises clients in the health care, hospitality, technology, financial services, and food and beverage industries on a wide range of matters, such as employment agreements, regulatory compliance, confidentiality and restrictive covenants, employee classification, leave laws, severance and terminations, and compensation. He has also been invited to speak on employment practices at industry conferences and training seminars in the hospitality, technology startup, finance, and entertainment industries.

Outside of work, Marty devotes time to public service in the legal community, mentoring current law students and high school students pursuing legal careers, and mentoring junior attorneys through the Inns of Court. He is an active member of the New Jersey Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section and serves as an editor on the bar association’s Labor and Employment Law Quarterly publication.
