Biography

Martin Macyszyn was born in Poland and moved with his family to the United States at a young age. He began his undergraduate education in Deland, Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Stetson University, Florida’s first private university. At the conclusion of his undergraduate work, Martin moved to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue a Masters degree in Public Health. During his studies in Boston, Martin focused on the medical-legal aspects of public health, thus earning a concentration in Health Law. After obtaining his Masters degree, Martin was admitted to the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where he received his Juris Doctor. During law school Martin was a participant of numerous moot court and mock trial competitions while also being named to the Dean’s list for his scholastic achievements. Upon completion of his legal training, Martin was admitted to the Florida Bar to practice law and joined Lucas, Macyszyn & Dyer Law Firm. He remains active in his community, volunteering his expertise at Bay Area Legal Services in Hillsborough County. Martin is married to his lovely wife Meredith.
