Mason has over 30 years experience in civil matters in federal and state trial and appeallate courts in Kentucky. As a former Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky , Mason represented the United States in a variety of civil matters, including employment, environmental, medical malpractice, and personal injury and wrongful death. Additionally, as a Career Law Clerk to the Honorable Karl S. Forester (U.S. District Court) for over ten years, Mason provided legal analysis to Judge Forester on cases across the federal docket, including criminal matters and civil matters, and gained important insight into how to be successful in the courts.
In 2015, Mason combined forces with her husband, attorney Benjamin Lee Kessinger, III as a co-founder of Kessinger Law Group, PLLC. For over 10 years, Kessinger Law Group successfully represented individuals and businesses in civil matters across trial and appellate courts throughout Kentucky. Now, as a founding member of Kessinger Benvenuti PLLC, Mason continues to use her experience and expertise to provide agresssive, creative and powerful representation to her clients.
Mason is proud graduate of Centre College and the University of Kentucky College of Law. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Fayette County Bar Association and a past President of the Federal Bar Association of Kentucky.
In her free time, Mason loves to spend time with her family and friends, walk her dogs, and recharge in the sun. She serves on the Board of the New Opportunity School for Women Foundation and enjoys working to improve the lives of the women of Appalachia.
