Mat Stevenson

Founded in 2002, Stevenson Law Office reflects attorney Mat Stevenson’s long-standing commitment to defending individuals throughout Western Montana. Mat was born in Great Falls and pursued his education at the University of Montana, completing a B.A. and master’s degree in history before graduating from the University of Montana School of Law in 2002. He now resides in Missoula, where his practice centers on criminal defense and DUI, with many cases arising in Missoula and Ravalli Counties and additional representation offered statewide. Mat brings a libertarian philosophy to the courtroom, focusing on limiting unnecessary government interference and protecting constitutional rights at every stage of a case. His experience reaches beyond trial work and includes appeals, post-conviction proceedings, and sentence review matters. Stevenson Law Office also assists clients with personal injury claims, family law issues, dependent-neglect proceedings, orders of protection, DUI-related driving privilege reinstatement petitions, and mediation.
