Biography

Experience

A natural born trial attorney, Matt is well known by his clients and peers for his driven-to-win attitude and compassionate advocacy. Matt is a champion of the underdog and a zealous advocate for his clients.

Matt’s legal experience gives him a unique perspective into the mindset of insurance companies and large corporations he now pursues on behalf of his clients.

Matt began his practice defending Fortune 500 companies at two of the largest and most prestigious firms in Northeast Florida. Knowing the other side’s game plan, Matt understands how to prosecute a case from the start to maximize the compensation that Florida law provides to his clients.

Matt’s courtroom successes and the significant settlements for his clients have earned him a number of accolades, including an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell and recognition by Super Lawyers Magazine every year since 2009.

For Matt, however, there is no greater accolade than winning for his clients.

Background

Matt was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and spent most of his childhood in Illinois and California. A lifelong Florida Gator, he returned to Florida in 1999 to attend the University of Florida, where he earned a degree in political science with honors. Matt obtained his law degree from Florida State University in 2005. His natural trial skills were recognized early on in law school, earning him first place in the 2003 Wayne Hogan Trial Competition.

Matt and Amanda have four young children, including a set of twins. As a family they enjoy traveling, fishing, and exploring the area’s beaches and parks.
