Matthew B. Beckstead

Matthew focuses his practice on civil litigation and insurance defense. He has a background as a judicial law clerk for the Eighth Judicial District Court, in Clark County, Nevada. He has experience in criminal, domestic-relations, real-estate, insurance defense, and complex civil litigation matters. Matthew brings a solid background in legal research and writing, having conducted complex legal research and drafting for sitting judges and practicing attorneys alike, particularly in the areas of real-estate litigation and complex civil litigation. He also worked as a research-assistant for 3 semesters during law school and has logged several hundred hours of legal research, writing, and document drafting. He also brings real-world, practical knowledge of the court system, having worked on both sides of the bench. He has spent hundreds of hours studying civil procedure and court rules, offering a unique perspective regarding litigation tactics and client-oriented procedural solutions. Matthew obtained a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Utah and his juris doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Matthew grew up in Henderson, NV, and is a graduate of Green Valley High School. He remains committed to excellence and providing second-to-none legal advocacy to his clients.
