Matthew Bryant Wade

Managing Attorney Matthew Wade brings a unique and formidable strategic advantage to the Abel Law Firm. Since joining the firm in 2014, he has utilized his extensive background—including seven years as in-house counsel for State Farm Insurance—to provide clients with "insider" insight into the defensive tactics of the insurance industry. This deep understanding of how large corporations evaluate and litigate claims allows him to stay multiple steps ahead, ensuring the "underdog" receives a level playing field. A 2005 graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Matthew has consistently been recognized by his peers for his legal excellence, earning a place on the Super Lawyers list from 2021 to the present and selection for the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. Appointed as Managing Attorney in 2022, he leads the firm’s legal operations with a fierce dedication to the 7th Amendment and a compassionate, client-first philosophy. Beyond the courtroom, Matthew is a committed educator and community leader, serving as a professor in the University of Oklahoma’s Legal Assistants Program, a Board Member for the Oklahoma Association for Justice, and President of the Board of Directors for CASA of Oklahoma. An avid fly fisherman and snow skier, he is a devoted family man who balances his aggressive advocacy with a well-rounded personal life shared with his wife and three children.
