Matt seamlessly bridges the worlds of technology and law, bringing seven years of professional software-engineering experience into his legal practice. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, which led to his first role as a developer at Microsoft. There, Matt joined the Windows division and contributed to XML Paper Specification (XPS) APIs, co-inventing a patented load-time memory optimization method. Matt's technical journey continued at Amazon, where he worked on Prime Video. Seeking a new challenge, he returned to the University of Illinois to study law, graduating magna cum laude and serving as Executive Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. After a brief position in federal law enforcement, Matt embarked on a legal career at CBRE and F5, focusing on data protection and privacy law. In 2025, he founded his own law firm, integrating his robust technical background and legal acumen to offer unparalleled counsel.
