Biography

Matthew Benson joined wh Law in 2019. Matthew is a native Arkansan, raised in Yell County. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and received his law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law. Matthew began his legal career with the United States Department of Justice as a law clerk with the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, helping to prosecute federal crimes. After completing his clerkship, he took a position with the Benton County Prosecutor’s Office as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, where he spent nearly every day in court. Matthew left the prosecutor’s office for private practice in 2016. He is licensed to practice law in Arkansas state courts. Matthew focuses his practice on domestic and criminal work. Matthew lives in Fayetteville with his wife, Maggie.
