Matthew Jesus Gomez is an Associate at the firm’s Fort Lauderdale West office and practices in the first party property group.

Mr. Gomez received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in 2022, graduating cum laude with a major in Political Science and a minor in Law and Philosophy. Throughout his undergraduate career, Mr. Gomez interned at a full-service law firm focusing on real estate and business transactions, bankruptcy, and estate planning matters.

In 2025, Mr. Gomez obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Florida International University College of Law, graduating cum laude. While in law school, he completed an externship at the City Attorney’s Office for the City of Coral Gables. During his time with the City, Mr. Gomez gained experience in Florida municipal law, specifically within areas such as public works, construction, and zoning. Additionally, he served as a mentor for the FIU Law Peer Mentor Program.

Mr. Gomez began working at Cole, Scott & Kissane as Law Clerk in 2024, where he worked on the bodily injury and personal injury protection group.
