Biography

Matthew Zullo is a contemplative man. It’s easy to see if you’re around him for any length of time. He lives in the world of ideas and strategic planning; placing a large value on intelligence, knowledge, and competence. For him, everything comes down to understanding complex concepts, and applying them in the most effective way possible. Matt is the kind of guy who always believes the most important question to answer in a given situation is “will this work?”, and the most important take-away is the information to better answer that question next time.

It’s this unique combination of intuition, strategy, and knowledge seeking which defines Matthew Zullo as an attorney. For Matt, every case is an opportunity to achieve two goals: Improving the lives of his clients, and further improving his already formidable skills in a variety of personal injury practice areas. Every different type of case provides a fresh opportunity to gain a unique perspective on things, and so Matthew Zullo seeks out opportunities to take on a varying caseload.

“It is simply my nature to enjoy doing as many different things as I can, and frankly, I would hate to be known as just a motor vehicle accident attorney, or Med Mal attorney, or nursing home attorney. Also, I am not so proud that I am only willing to handle big complex cases. Though those kinds of cases are a true test of my abilities, I still love handling simpler cases as well. Those cases aren’t any less important to those clients, and they give me an opportunity to try some different tactics and take some measured chances that may end up paying off in a big way.”

Matthew is, by all metrics, an accomplished trial attorney; having brought hundreds of cases to trial over the course of his career, with almost 200 jury verdicts in those cases in both state and federal court. Like every attorney at RGLZ, Matthew Zullo has an extensive portfolio of six and seven figure settlements as well. But at the end of the day, the most important thing to Matthew Zullo is what should be the most important thing to any personal injury attorney; his clients, and the relationships he has with them.

“I have to say, all other things aside, my favorite part of being an attorney is the relationships I get to have with my clients. I have clients where I have represented multiple members of their families, and clients who I’ve watched grow up, get married and have children. The best experience I can have is not just winning a case, but seeing a client truly get back on their feet. I mean, I get to be a positive part of that person’s life and help them get past what’s likely a personal nadir. It’s simply rewarding in a way few things can be.”

So if you’re looking for an attorney who has the breadth of knowledge and diversity of skills to handle almost any personal injury case, simple or complicated, big or small; there aren’t many better candidates out there than Matthew Zullo. He is a man with truly encompassing knowledge of the personal injury world, and the jack of all trades who can take on nearly any type of case.
