Biography

Matthew K. Tieslau focuses his practice on environmental compliance, water law, and brewery representation.

Matt counsels clients on a range of natural resources and environmental matters, including state and federal regulatory compliance, environmental liability (CERCLA, RCRA, CWA), litigation, permitting, auditing, reporting, enforcement, agency negotiations and environmental due diligence for purchase and sale transactions. His clients have included industrial manufacturers, oil and gas operators, municipalities, mines, property owners, and ranchers.

Matt advises on water law matters related to water applications covering senior and junior rights, as well as exchanges and expansions, historical use quantification, and issues of state versus federal law. He also provides counsel on remediation and other water quality issues.

Matt also advises brewery, distillery, and food and beverage clients on local, state, and federal licensing, ongoing compliance, and day-to-day operations.
