Matthew L. Fenicle

Matthew Fenicle brings a truly unique perspective to our team at Kontnik | Cohen, LLC. Growing up in a Deaf family as a hearing person, Matt learned early on how vital equal communication and representation really are. He is fluent in American Sign Language, which allows him to bridge gaps that many other lawyers simply can’t. Before joining us, Matt worked at the Deaf Law Center in New York City and served as a federal law clerk, so he has seen the legal system from several high-level angles. Today, he focuses on disability discrimination, Deaf rights, and employment law issues like wrongful termination and wage disputes. He has already made a big impact here, recently helping secure a major win that forced bar exam accommodations for a disabled individual. Whether he’s fighting systemic barriers or negotiating a settlement for an employee who has been mistreated, Matt’s work is fueled by a deep sense of justice. He is licensed in four states, including Colorado and New York, and he approaches every case with a level of compassion and grit that his clients truly appreciate.
