Matthew R. Stidham

Matthew handles a variety of probate cases, including Conservatorship Matters, Trust Litigation, Trust Administration, Probate Administration, and Elder Abuse causes of action. He is an aggressive litigator with trial experience. He has extensive experience in matters relating to civil litigation, including depositions and meditations.

Prior to his employment with The Legacy Lawyers, Matthew worked for the United States Attorney’s Office in Washington D.C. as a law clerk in the Violent Crime and Narcotics Division, and gained experience in numerous murder trials while working as a law clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in the Hardcore Gangs Division. Matthew also worked as a Judicial Extern for Judge William Ryan in Los Angeles Superior Court. While there he drafted Judge Ryan’s decision to deny parole for notorious “Manson Family” murderer, Leslie Van Houten.

In addition, Matthew is passionate about Special Education Law and volunteered at Lanterman Regional Center as an advocate providing free legal services to low-income families in Los Angeles. These services provided needed assistance to families in obtaining proper accommodations for children with disabilities. This experience shaped how Matthew approaches Conservatorship or Guardianship matters with the goals of the family always first and foremost.
