Matthew S. McAfee

Mr. McAfee focuses on commercial real estate law, commercial acquisitions and dispositions, commercial development, commercial leasing, real estate project finance, including securitized debt and mezzanine financing, commercial title issues, joint venture developments and real estate backed lending and workouts.Mr. McAfee is also currently president of several companies that are agents for national title insurance companies that provide title insurance for commercial and residential real estate transactions.Mr. McAfee was an editor of the Florida Law Review and a member of the Oder of the Coif. He has served on the Executive Committee and as Development Chair of the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, president of the Board of Directors of the Tree Hill Nature Center, a member of the Board of Directors of First Coast No More Homeless Pets, and in various other capacities for community-oriented and not-for-profit entities. Mr. McAfee has been an active member in the Rotary Club of Jacksonville since 2002 and has served on the Board of Directors. Mr. McAfee also has participated in the Leadership Jacksonville program as a member of the Class of 2006, and he was named to Florida Trend’s Legal Elite since 2006 and has been recognized as one of Jacksonville’s Top Lawyers in Jacksonville Magazine. Mr. McAfee has been selected for inclusion in the 2016 Edition of Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of Banking and Finance Law. Mr. McAfee is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and NAIOP, Commercial Real Estate Development Association.
