Biography

Matthew Mazzarella is a trial attorney at Boyers Law Group, P.A.  He has helped garner millions of dollars in awards for injured clients in catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, negligent security, premises liability and maritime negligence cases.    Mr. Mazzarella is rated AV Preeminent – the highest rating for legal skill and excellence – in the Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory.  He has been recognized by his peers as a Rising Star in the Florida Super Lawyers Magazine.  Mr. Mazzarella is also active in the legal community and serves on the Board of Directors for the Dade County Bar Association and the University of Florida Law Alumni Council.  He is a former volunteer litigator for the Volunteer Lawyers’ Project for the Southern District of Florida and faculty coach for the University of Miami Moot Court Team.   Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mazzarella practiced complex litigation with an emphasis on commercial torts and product liability issues at a boutique firm in downtown Miami.  He has experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in Federal and State courts throughout the country.   Mr. Mazzarella earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law where he served as the Vice-President of the University of Florida Moot Court Board.  He represented the law school in several national and state competitions as both a competitor and a coach.  Upon graduation, the University of Florida inducted Mr. Mazzarella into the National Order of the Barristers and presented him with the William C. Gaither Award for the most outstanding moot court member.  He also instructed law students as a teaching assistant in several courses including appellate advocacy, trial practice and legal research and writing.
