Max Livingston is obsessed with turning conflict into compromise. From getting a master’s degree in dispute resolution to becoming a Wisconsin Certified Mediator, Max is constantly looking for ways to bring value while creating win-win solutions.
Max’s background in business law and employment law enhances his representation of family law clients who own businesses, who have complex incomes, or who have uncommon employment benefits, making him a capable can-do attorney with a wealth of legal talents.
One of Max’s most distinctive traits is his loyalty to his clients. He invests a great deal of energy into understanding all aspects of their cases, their goals, and their motivations to never lose sight of what is important to them and to maximize their results. Unafraid to take risks or fight for the underdog, Max’s primary objective is to solve his clients’ conflicts forever, not just for now.
Despite all of Max’s impressive professional accomplishments, his humility and honesty are the things that leave the most lasting impression. His clients say that he is caring, insightful, and the perfect blend of professionalism and compassion.
Max was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2022, a Martindale-Hubbell Client Gold Champion in 2021, and an AVVO Client’s Choice. He is a member of several local bar and professional associations. He teaches undergraduate legal courses at Marquette University. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons—preferably at Universal Studios in Florida!
