Mckay B. Whitney

Ever since he was young, McKay understood the power of words and the responsibility that comes with them. From an early age, he knew he was meant to become a lawyer and use that power to help people. With years of successful experience handling personal injury cases, McKay also brings something rare—personal understanding. Having endured multiple traumatic injuries and surgeries himself, he knows firsthand the pain, frustration, and uncertainty his clients face. This insight drives his compassionate approach: supporting clients through every step, holding negligent parties accountable, and pursuing the maximum recovery to make communities safer.

A proud native of Logandale, Nevada, McKay graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas before earning his Juris Doctorate from the Appalachian School of Law in Virginia. While in law school, he excelled in personal injury fundamentals, receiving the highest grades in Torts, Advanced Torts, and Insurance Law. He also completed the prestigious Gerry Spence Method Trial Lawyers College, a rigorous three-week training program that selects fewer than 50 lawyers nationwide each year.

McKay’s legal career began in 2003, working his way through nearly every position in a law firm—from personal injury case manager to paralegal—before becoming an attorney. This ground-up experience gives him a unique perspective on case preparation, client service, and courtroom advocacy. Over the years, he has recovered multi-millions of dollars for injury victims, often exceeding client expectations in both results and personal care.

When he’s not in the courtroom, McKay can be found hiking or riding through the Nevada desert, playing guitar and drums, or spending time with his wife, four children, and their pack of dogs. An adventurer at heart, he has learned through experience (and a few too many accidents) the importance of helmets and seatbelts—wisdom he carries into his commitment to safety and advocacy for others.
