Biography

McKenzie Cecelia Cossette is an Associate in the firm's Miami office. She practices in the area of construction, representing architects, contractors, developers, engineers, and subcontractors in construction defect, delay, contract and professional liability claims.

Originally from Lancaster, PA, Ms. Cossette moved to Knoxville, TN, where she earned her Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. From there, she attended the University of Miami School of Law, where she focused her education on trial advocacy, being a member of the Yvette Ostolaza Mock Trial Team and participating in the Litigation Skills Program. Ms. Cossette was able to participate in mock trial competitions, and was awarded the Director's Book Award for Excellence for her performance throughout the Litigation Skills Program.

Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Cossette's law school summers were spent interning for the Miami-Dade Public Defender's Office and for a nationwide insurance company's in-house counsel.
