Megan Decadi: Attorney with Goranson Bain Ausley Family Law

Biography

Megan was a family law paralegal for 16 years before becoming a family lawyer, and has seen firsthand what matters to clients: knowing their case is in good hands with an attorney who understands their personal situation and who is capable of providing personalized options for addressing their legal issues. At a time that can feel frightening and uncertain to clients, Megan’s partnership, attention, and responsiveness give clients a sense of control. Megan draws on her experience as a paralegal to manage cases that involve a broad variety of personality types and legal issues, which enables her to choose the best approach to resolve them. A strong advocate for families, Megan excels at advising clients as to how to achieve their goals while still putting their children’s interests first. She urges clients to take a holistic view of their family law case, recognizing that family law is not just about crunching numbers on a spreadsheet or dividing up days on a calendar; it is about restructuring a family in a way that enables clients and their children to move forward on positive footing. Megan recognizes that clients going through divorce may be tempted to dwell on what they’ve left behind. She encourages them to make the transition to looking at the new possibilities for their lives. With a combination of sound legal counsel and practical advice, Megan guides clients toward goal-oriented decision-making that positions them for a better future. Megan’s path to becoming a family lawyer entailed attending law school while working full time, raising kids, going to classes at night and graduating at the top of her class. It took determination and grit; qualities Megan strives to brings to her clients.
