Megan E. Coleman: Attorney with MarcusBonsib, LLC

Biography

Megan Coleman has practiced criminal defense with MarcusBonsib, LLC since 2008, representing clients in Maryland state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Over the years, she has handled a wide range of misdemeanor and felony matters, including assault, arson, drug charges, burglary, theft, fraud, human trafficking, prostitution, sex offenses, child abuse, child pornography, robbery, and murder. A Buffalo, New York native, Ms. Coleman still holds a soft spot for snow, wings, and the Buffalo Bills. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester, majoring in Spanish and minoring in Legal Studies, and interned with the City of Rochester’s Office of the Public Defender, an experience that inspired her to become an advocate in the courtroom. She went on to attend The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, where she focused on trial advocacy and earned a Best Overall Advocate award at a national invitational co-sponsored by the ABA Criminal Law Section. Ms. Coleman joined the Maryland Bar on December 17, 2008, and has also contributed through coaching mock trial, writing for the Prince George’s County Bar Association NewsJournal, and presenting to other attorneys. In 2018, Super Lawyers named her a Rising Star for Criminal Defense.
