Biography

Megan A. Ofner is a Partner in the firm's Fort Myers office. Her current practice area focuses on defending individuals and entities in personal injury/negligence cases involving premise liability and motor vehicle accidents.

Ms. Ofner obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Sacred Heart University where she was a member of the NCAA Division I Women’s Ice Hockey Team. She subsequently obtained her Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law.

While in law school, Ms. Ofner completed an externship with the Office of the Staff Attorneys in Collier County, focusing on post-conviction appeals. Additionally, she interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida. She also completed a certified legal internship at the State Attorney’s Office in the 20th Judicial Circuit. During law school, Ms. Ofner also served as a Vice President of the Moot Court Executive Board.

Prior to joining Cole, Scott and Kissane, Ms. Ofner began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney at State Attorney’s Office in the 20th Judicial Circuit. Ms. Ofner has extensive criminal and civil litigation experience including pre-trial motions, bench trials and jury trials.
