Biography

Melissa Bazan was born and raised in Harlingen, Texas. She received her Bachelors of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Austin and Doctor of Jurisprudence from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Ms. Bazan was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2009.

While in law school, Ms. Bazan served as a student attorney for the Wills and Probate Clinic. She also participated in the Loyola Law School study abroad program at the United Nations’ University for Peace in Ciudad Colon, Costa Rica studying international human rights and environmental law.

Ms. Bazan has been an associate attorney with Gregory Law, PLLC since December 2009 where she has mainly focused her practice on family law matters. Ms. Bazan has been appointed as an amicus attorney to represent the best interests of children in Harris County, Texas. She also delivered an oral argument before the Second Court of Appeals for a civil matter in 2012.

When Melissa is not practicing law, she enjoys traveling, watching college football, exploring Houston, and spending time with family, friends and her two dogs, Addy and Otto.
