Biography

Melissa Modzelewski is a senior associate at WSHB's office in Hartford, Connecticut. Her practice focuses on complex civil litigation, particularly in premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, and employment litigation. She has also successfully defended various tort cases, including those related to sports and recreational activities.

Melissa has extensive experience representing corporations and individuals in state and federal courts in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She is adept at handling cases from inception through trial.

She attended Western New England University School of Law as a part-time evening student, where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for achieving the highest grade in her Trusts and Estates class. She also completed a Transactional Law Practice Concentration during her studies.

Before becoming an attorney, Melissa worked as a paralegal and continued in that role while attending law school, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience.

In addition to defending clients, she has experience representing plaintiffs, which provides her with a unique perspective and skill set when analyzing claims.
