Biography

Melissa became a member of the Alabama State Bar in 2008. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Alabama. In addition, she practices in the U.S. Court of Appeals and Eleventh Circuit. She is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Mobile Bar Association, South Alabama Volunteer Lawyer’s Program, and the Mobile Bar Association Women’s Lawyers.

Since joining the firm in 2009, Hunter’s practice has focused primarily on general civil and trial practice with experience in employment law, insurance defense work, and contract claims.

Melissa is originally from Decatur, Alabama but moved to Mobile in 2008. Before joining our firm, she served as a Judicial Clerk for the honorable Sarah H. Stewart and John R. Lockett in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit for the State of Alabama.

Melissa and her husband, Robert, have one son, Charlie. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys volunteering through the Junior League of Mobile, reading, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
