Biography

Merle Huber is a senior associate attorney based in WSHB's Miami office. In her practice with the firm, she handles c ommercial litigation, products liability, and admiralty and maritime cases at all stages, from initial strategy through trial preparation.

Merle's extensive experience in admiralty and maritime matters includes representing vessel owners, marine insurance underwriters, major cruise lines, protection & indemnity associations, and marine lenders. She additionally handles international arbitration matters that involve crew member employment contracts.

She earned her J.D. from Florida International University College of Law. Merle graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Florida with a degree in Political Science. Before becoming an attorney, Merle had a successful twelve-year career in residential and commercial real estate sales. While studying law, Merle worked full-time as a legal assistant and later as a law clerk at an insurance company in Miami.

Merle enjoys being challenged by complex issues and learning new skills in the process.
