Biography

Michael DesJardins is the Managing Shareholder and Founder of the Firm. Since 1986, Mr. DesJardins has successfully represented a broad range of clients in litigation matters relating to business, real estate, personal injury, employment, worker’s compensation, discrimination, wrongful termination, and harassment.

Michael DesJardins received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota in June, 1983. Mr. DesJardins attended Marquette University Law School, where he was a member of the Marquette Law Review. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Marquette University Law School in 1986. Upon graduation, Mr. DesJardins was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy, where he served as a lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Mr. DesJardins was stationed at Naval Air Station, North Island, and provided services to the members of numerous helicopter and jet squadrons, as well as members of the Construction Battalions, SEAL teams, and other units across the island at the Naval Amphibious base, Coronado. In his military career, Mr. DesJardins tried numerous courts-martial, administrative discharge hearings as well as providing legal assistance to service members regarding civil and military matters. At the end of his term, in 1991, Mr. DesJardins began the practice of law as a civilian.

Since 1986, Mr. DesJardins has garnered a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience in numerous areas of the law. As a trial lawyer, Mr. DesJardins has uncommon insight into how a potential legal problem will unfold from its inception through final judgment. This perspective is invaluable at all stages of legal analysis and planning. Clients can avoid potential legal issues by engaging the services of a seasoned legal specialist to review a situation and recommend a course of action which will avoid later litigation. Actions taken which will keep a party out of court are, most often, the wisest course of action.
