Graduated from Benedictine High School in 1989, The Ohio State University in 1994 (two B.A. degrees, magna cum laude) and then Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1997 (J.D. cum laude), assitent editor of the Law Review in 1996. Elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Epsilon of Ohio (1994). Former Staff Attorney at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. Provided editorial assistance for law review article titled "A New Originalism: Adoption of a Grammatical Interpretive Approach to Establishment Clause Jurisprudence after District of Columbia v. Heller" (Christopher A. Boyko), 57 Clev. St. L. Rev. 703 (2009).
