Biography

Michael P. Camaj was born and raised in New York, but now calls Michigan his home.

Mr. Camaj received his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, MI. During law school Mr. Camaj participated in several international legal programs, including the Capitals of Europe Summer Program with the Honorable Samuel A. Alito, Jr. Mr. Camaj also completed his Erasmus studies at Maastricht University Faculty of Law, focusing on Private International Law and International Trade Law. Shortly after, Mr. Camaj worked for a period as an associate in Dublin at the Office of the Attorney General’s Office for the Republic of Ireland, and later in the private sector in the General Counsel Division for a private corporation based in Paris, France.

Mr. Camaj went on to complete a second law degree at one of the top Dispute Resolution programs in the country, earning a Masters in Laws in Dispute Resolution & Advocacy at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. During this program Mr. Camaj was selected to represent Cardozo School of Law at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court. Mr. Camaj also participated in the Cardozo School of Law Justice and Reconciliation Program held in South Africa. During this time Mr. Camaj additionally worked in conjunction with Cardozo School of Law’s Holocaust Restitution Practicum by assisting legal counsel in Holocaust Insurance Restitution Claims.

Upon being admitted to practice law in both New York and Michigan, Mr. Camaj found himself trying criminal cases, divorce and custody suits, personal injury claims, auto accidents, commercial real-estate and corporate litigation. Later on, he also began to work in civil rights and 1983 claims.

Today at Scott Goodwin Law P.C., Mr. Camaj specializes in No-Fault and Bodily Injury claims for Auto Accident victims, Premises Liability claims, and Dog Bite claims.
