Biography

Mr. Marrese serves as the Managing Partner of Morgan & Morgan’s Chicago office. He has deep roots in the Midwest-he was born in Chicago, raised in Indiana, and went to college at Washington University in St. Louis before obtaining his law degree from Indiana University.

Mr. Marrese spent 10 years in the Windy City as a personal injury and medical malpractice attorney. During his Chicago legal career, Mr. Marrese won a $3.1 million wrongful death verdict and a $2.2 million medical malpractice verdict.

Mr. Marrese has been licensed in Illinois since 1991 and in Florida since 2002. Over his 35-year legal career, Mr. Marrese has secured numerous seven-figure verdicts and settlements, including five exceeding $5 million. He has tried more than 100 civil cases across six states and countless counties, handling matters ranging from auto and trucking accidents to medical malpractice.

Mr. Marrese spent 18 years at Morgan & Morgan’s Jacksonville office before returning to Chicago in 2026. During his time in Florida, he became a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer-a distinction that placed him among the top 1% of all trial lawyers in Florida.

Mr. Marrese began supporting the Cubs, Bulls, and Blackhawks during his time in Chicago and continues to be a loyal Chicago sports fan.
