Michael Harrison: Attorney with Whitelaw-Twining

Biography

Michael joined Whitelaw Twining as an associate in 2021 and practices insurance defence with a focus on transportation, occupiers liability, and property damage.

Before joining Whitelaw Twining, Michael worked at a medium-sized downtown Vancouver litigation firm where he gained extensive experience in insurance defence. He also has experience in commercial, real-estate, and wills and estates litigation. He brings this depth of focused litigation experience to his practice, enabling him to identify a range of solutions for his clients and to provide clear, insightful, and focused advice.

Michael has appeared before the Supreme and Provincial Courts of British Columbia, as well as several administrative tribunals. Before his call to the Bar in 2019, Michael worked with in-house counsel at a large, international utilities corporation, at the Law Centre in Victoria, and at the Yukon Human Rights Commission in Whitehorse.

Outside of practicing law, Michael enjoys downhill skiing, cooking, and exploring the many great local craft breweries in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
