State v. Slaughter: Led to mistrial based upon the District Attorney's request, the County Judge agreed, the Defense Counsel strenuously objected; however, the gavel fell and the mistrial granted. The subsequent result was that the District Attorney was barred from reprosecuting the same defendant because jeopardy attached in the first trial. Set 2nd Chair in Aggravagated Sexual Assault of a Child Case where two children, age 3 and 4, Not Guilty Verdict against the Father.

Led the Defendant in a Tort action as counsel in suit whereby settlement occurred one day after discovery process began for a five figure settlement; Defended a young man in Navarro County Court charged with false statement to a police officer. After the State put on their first two witnesses, and a lunch break, the District Attorney argued for a mistrial and the Judge of the Navarro County Court granted it, thereby barring reprosecution under double jeopardy bars; Set 2nd Chair in aggravated sexual assault of two children (clients sons) and received not guilty verdicts on both counts in a jury trial; Set my client, a small spanish man, for trial in an assault case that found my client bruised and bloody. The trial was dismissed five days before trial because the witnesses could not be found.
