Biography

MICHAEL J. MEHLICK, an Associate with the Firm, is part of the worker’s compensation defense practice group. Michael previously served as a staff attorney in Kane County, in which he drafted circuit court opinions and performed legal research in various areas of law, including insurance, criminal, municipal, and probate.

During law school, Michael served as both president of the Women’s Law Caucus and the Gay-Straight Alliance; he clerked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group’s Legal Department in Boston, Massachusetts; and worked as a teacher’s assistant and instructor of record for Northern Illinois University’s Center for the Study of Women, Gender, & Sexuality.

Michael is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (B.A.) and a cum laude graduate of Northern Illinois University College of Law (J.D.), where he was the recipient of the Hope Moller Scholarship Award for the Study of Tort Law.

Michael is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois.
