Biography

Michael Khalili grew up far from Nebraska, but his background has shaped the way he connects with people and approaches his work. He was born in Guymon, Oklahoma and raised in Del Rio, Texas, a small border community where he became fluent in Spanish. Michael graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2003 before earning his law degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2008. While at Seattle University, he earned top marks for overall academic achievement and for his performance in Housing Law and Policy, receiving the CALI Award for excellence. He also received the Washington State Hispanic Bar Association Scholarship in 2007 and the Dean’s Diversity Scholarship in 2005, reflecting both his academic strength and commitment to diversity in the profession. Michael is licensed to practice in Iowa and Nebraska and is admitted to the U.S. District Court of Nebraska (Federal). He remains active in the legal community through the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys and the Nebraska State Bar Association, and he is known for a clear, straightforward approach to helping clients navigate complex legal issues.
