Biography

Michael Hanna is a trial lawyer at Morgan & Morgan and Managing Partner of the firm’s Michigan office. He is a personal injury and class action employment attorney who has represented thousands of clients across the nation. His law practice focuses on the prosecution of personal injury, wrongful death, truck accident litigation, wage and hour collective actions, and wrongful termination claims in state and federal court.

Mr. Hanna has served as lead counsel on many high profile cases that have been featured on The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, ABC Action News, Fox News, Bloomberg Law, Law 360, CBS News, AOL News, The Huffington Post, The Washington Times, The Detroit Free Press, The Detroit News, The Miami New Times, The Orlando Sentinel, The Associated Press, and various other national and local news syndicates. Mr. Hanna’s prior representations include serving as lead counsel for world-renowned trial lawyer, Geoffrey Fieger.

Mr. Hanna was the recipient of the 2025 ALM National Law Journal’s Elite Trial Lawyer Award. Mr. Hanna was also selected for inclusion in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Hanna has also been selected by his peers as a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2017 to 2018, Michigan Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2019 to 2024, and Michigan Super Lawyers for the year 2025, an honor bestowed on less than 2.5% of lawyers in the state. Mr. Hanna was also the recipient of the 2015 ADC Pro Bono Attorney of the Year award.
