Michael R. Nerenberg

Michael R. Nerenberg is a partner in the Firm’s Transactional Department.

Mr. Nerenberg’s practice involves representation of parties involved with all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing of office, retail, and residential units, development, and workouts. He also focuses his practice on representing lenders and borrowers in financing transactions and developers in the development of residential and commercial properties throughout the New York City metropolitan area and the United States. Mr. Nerenberg has extensive experience in the representation of clients in closing land and air right acquisitions and joint venture transactions in connection with New York City development projects.

He acts as general counsel to a significant number of condominium and cooperative boards throughout New York City. He also, advises clients on estate matters in his trusts & estates practice which includes drafting of estate documents and representation of estate fiduciaries in probate and administration proceedings in Surrogate’s Court.

Mr. Nerenberg received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2006 and a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from George Washington University in 2002 where he majored in Political Science/Public Policy with a minor in Journalism. He lectures frequently on matters involving real estate law, including recent presentations regarding estate sales, cooperative and condominium due diligence, real estate finance, and foreclosure sales.
