Biography

Attorney Michael Ready is a Partner of RKM Law with experience representing parties in civil jury trials since 1987 in the Superior and District Courts of the Commonwealth.

Attorney Ready is the Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Bar Association Workers' Compensation Section with over 20 years' experience successfully handling hundreds of cases before the Department of Industrial Accidents including prevailing on appeals to the Reviewing Board and Appeals Court. He has also served as one of the architects of regulatory changes to 452 C.M.R. 1.00, the adjudicatory rules of the Department of Industrial Accidents.

Attorney Ready has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America® as a noted practitioner in Workers' Compensation Law every year since 2007. Attorney Ready was selected by Best Lawyers as Boston's Workers' Compensation Lawyer of the Year in 2015. He is a frequent lecturer for legal and industry groups on workers' compensation and employment law including the American Disabilities Act, Massachusetts Anti-Discrimination Statute and the Family and Medical Leave Act. He is also a speaker on ethical issues including privacy rights for case managers and occupational health experts. Attorney Ready's educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude in Economics from Assumption College and a Juris Doctorate degree Cum Laude from the New England Law - Boston.

Attorney Ready's professional career further includes memberships in the Massachusetts Bar Association, Norfolk County Bar Association, Plymouth County Bar Association, Bristol County Bar Association. He is a past President of the Plymouth County Bar Association where he has also served as Treasurer, Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors. He is a member of the Board of Directors of South Coastal Counties Legal Services Corporation. He has also been a faculty member of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) and Lorman Education Services on a variety of workers' compensation issues.

Attorney Ready has been appointed to the Joint Bar Committee on Judicial Appointments. He is also serving as the Region II Delegate to the Massachusetts Bar Association House of Delegates.

Attorney Ready recently Co-Authored the LexisNexis Practice Guide: Massachusetts Workers' Compensation, 2017 Edition.

In 2018 he has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® for his high caliber of work in Workers' Compensation Law representing claimants and employers.
