Biography

I have litigated a wide variety of cases, including complex commercial, employment, real property, construction, contract and business matters.  My litigation experience includes State and Federal courts in Nevada and I often appear before governmental and quasi-governmental administrative hearing officers on behalf of my clients. Utilizing a pragmatic, value-driven and results-oriented approach to dispute resolution and litigation, I've earned the respect of clients and adversaries alike. I also practice in all areas of consumer and business bankruptcy, representing both debtors and creditors. My practice covers all aspects of restructuring, having reprented credtiors, lends and companies in both chapter 7 and 11.  I have also represented hundreds of individual debtors in both chapter 7 and chapter 13 cases, helping them achieve a fresh start.  Finally, I have been appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court as an arbitrator for the court-annexed arbitration program. I am fluent in Spanish and bring 14 years of experience including: -Defended an individual in a federal jury trial involving a contractual dispute over gaming issues on Native American lands-Represented credit card processor in variety of actions, including adversary proceedings and suits against former customers-Defended employer against employment discrimination claims-Secured a favorable settlement for a paving and grading subcontractor in a multimillion dollar construction defect action-Represented seller in breach of contract action for sale of property valued at $2 million, securing a favorable settlement via mediation-Secured summary judgment on behalf of steel subcontractor-Obtained loan modifications via negotiation and litigation with principal reductions in excess of $1.5 million-Represented tavern owner in zoning and variance proceedings before Clark County Planning Commission
