Biography

Michelle McCarthy is a partner and founding member of Murray & McCarthy Law, located in Denver, Colorado and specializes in commercial litigation, real estate, wills and trust litigation, and probate administration and litigation. Ms. McCarthy received her Masters in Taxation and law degree from the University of Denver, and advises clients on state and federal tax law matters.

Ms. McCarthy is a board member for the Executive Council of the Colorado Bar Association. She is the Secretary of the Tax Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. Ms. McCarthy is a published author of recent federal, state, and local tax law changes, and testifies at the Colorado legislature regarding upcoming tax, estate, real estate, and business legislation affecting Colorado citizens.

Prior to founding Murray & McCarthy, Ms. McCarthy worked at several law firms practicing business law, real estate law, tax law, and probate law.

Ms. McCarthy is the head of litigation at the firm, and enjoys her time in the courtroom.

Starting in January, 2020, Ms. McCarthy will serve as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, teaching Accounting for Lawyers.
