Biography

As a second career attorney, I offer a unique perspective of established professional experience and a newfound enthusiasm for assisting others through the practice of law.

There is nothing like the feeling of helping another person successfully navigate a difficult situation or ease a burden that has been weighing on them. From the beginning of my professional career, it was clear that being of service to others in their time of need was what motivated and inspired me. In my prior career as a Realtor, I was able to walk others through what was often a very stressful time. Attention to detail, managing emotions, empathy, and problem-solving, were all part of the job description. Several years into a successful career, I realized that I could elevate those skills and use my experiences to embark on a new and meaningful career in law.

While attending law school, my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia. It was my love for her and seeing how this diagnosis affected her and my family that eventually led me to seek a concentration in elder law and the practice of estate planning. The fact I now work at such a supportive, client-orientated firm, not far from where I was born and where my grandmother lived, makes it a full circle moment for me.

Often a client comes to our firm not knowing where to begin, but just knowing they need help sorting out the details of their estate plan. They may have just gone through a lengthy probate with a loved one or received a diagnosis. Sometimes, a client just wants to make things easier for their loved ones upon their passing. Whatever their motivation, I never lose sight of the fact that they have entrusted me to lead the way. I want my clients to know I am here for them from the first meeting and long after we have concluded their legal services. One of the things I love about our firm is that we treat clients like family. It isn’t uncommon to have a meeting with a client whose parents, or even grandparents, trusted our firm with their family’s estate planning. The fact I get to come to work every day, where I can make a difference and bring peace of mind to members of this great community, reassures me I am right where I am supposed to be.
