Michelle Williams serves as an associate attorney at Wilner &
O’Reilly, based in their Boise office, and her professional journey
is deeply intertwined with her personal background and commitment to
immigration advocacy. Raised in Idaho and currently residing in
Boise, Michelle received her Juris Doctor from Concordia University
School of Law, gaining admission to the Idaho State Bar in 2018.
Michelle's
connection to immigration issues is rooted in her family background;
her mother, an immigrant from Mexico, instilled in her a profound
love for her Hispanic heritage. During her law school years, Michelle
actively participated in Concordia's immigration clinic, where she
witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by immigrants. This
experience fueled her passion for removal defense, and she became a
staunch advocate for her clients in court.
Before joining
Wilner & O’Reilly, Michelle worked as an associate attorney in
Meridian, focusing her practice on removal defense and regularly
handling family-based immigration cases. She has represented numerous
clients in court before the Executive Office of Immigration Review
and the Board of Immigration Appeals, demonstrating her commitment to
providing legal assistance at every stage of the immigration process.
Michelle has also represented clients in interviews before USCIS.
Michelle actively
participates in professional associations, reflecting her commitment
to staying abreast of industry developments and best practices. She
is a proud member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association
(AILA) since 2018, a member of the Idaho State Bar Association since
2018, and currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Idaho AILA
Chapter from 2020 to the present. Michelle also holds the crucial
role of EOIR Liaison, further demonstrating her dedication to
fostering effective communication and collaboration within the legal
community.
Beyond her
professional endeavors, Michelle is a devoted wife and mother to a
beautiful little boy. Outside the legal arena, she finds joy in
dancing and exploring the great outdoors of Idaho. Fluent in Spanish,
Michelle's language skills contribute to her ability to serve a
diverse client base.
