Biography

Attorney Miranda R. Patton is an associate in the Elder Law Group of our firm's Estate Planning department. In this capacity, Miranda is responsible for drafting a variety of estate planning documents and working with clients to tailor documents to their specific needs. This includes, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, Medicaid Irrevocable trusts, Wills, deeds, and incapacity documents. Miranda creates relationships with attorneys in other states to provide support for clients with out of state property. Further during law school Miranda specialized in US and EU intellectual property law, and can assist clients with copyrights, trademarks, patent applications, and patent counseling.

While in law school Miranda, worked in the patent legal department of Cook Medical, in Bloomington Indiana, and as a law clerk at Woodard, Emhardt, Moriarty, McNett & Henry LLP a boutique intellectual property firm in Indianapolis. Miranda, served as the Senior Managing Editor for the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies (IJGLS), and she was selected as the student director for the LGBT Legal Project, a pro-bono group supporting the LGBT community of Indiana.
