Mohammad Ghiasuddin is a partner at Margolis Edelstein, concentrating his practice in professional liability, construction litigation, and financial litigation. He represents a broad range of professionals, including lawyers, insurance agents, accountants, architects, engineers, design professionals, developers, and healthcare providers, in complex liability matters. His professional liability practice includes defending claims involving legal malpractice, errors and omissions, design defects, and allegations of negligence in professional services. He has extensive experience handling claims against attorneys involving missed deadlines, conflicts of interest, and strategic or communication errors, as well as claims involving insurance, financial, and design professionals.
With over 25 years of litigation experience, Mohammad maintains a substantial construction litigation practice representing builders, contractors, developers, manufacturers, and suppliers, as well as architects, engineers, and other design professionals. He regularly handles matters involving construction defects, design deficiencies, project delays, payment disputes, and surety claims, as well as personal injury claims arising from construction projects. In addition to litigation, he advises clients on contract negotiation, risk transfer, and project-related risk management strategies.
Mohammad also has significant experience in financial litigation, representing banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions in disputes involving lending practices, credit reporting, debt collection, and compliance with federal and state consumer protection statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Truth in Lending Act. His practice includes complex commercial disputes, contractual claims, and business torts, often involving financial transactions and regulatory issues.
His broader litigation experience includes matters involving land use, zoning, permitting, government contracts, public bids, bond issues, liens, and tax assessment appeals, including disputes with municipalities and public entities. Mohammad has also handled environmental matters involving regulatory compliance, land use restrictions, and alleged environmental impacts, including representation of corporate clients in zoning and permitting disputes and claims involving pollution and property damage.
Mohammad has extensive trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts nationwide and regularly represents clients in arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
