Molly joined Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP in 2025, practicing in the areas of Real Estate Transactions, Trusts & Estates, and Litigation. She brings a strong background in public service, regulatory work, and private practice, offering clients practical guidance and steady support in matters that often intersect with both personal and business needs. Molly is based out the firm’s Walton office.
Before joining Coughlin & Gerhart, Molly gained broad experience across diverse legal environments, including private firms in Albany, service as Assistant Counsel and Records Access Officer for the New York State Department of Public Service, and most recently, work as an Assistant County Attorney for Delaware County. These roles strengthened her understanding of regulatory processes, municipal needs, and the practical challenges clients face when navigating complex legal systems.
Molly graduated summa cum laude from Albany Law School, where she earned the Dean’s Scholarship and Trustee Prize. She was deeply involved in academic leadership, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Law Studies and as Note & Comment Editor for the Journal of Science and Technology. She also worked as a Contracts Teaching Assistant and participated actively in Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Molly received her B.A. in Political Science with a Pre-Law Certificate from Siena College, where she was a member of multiple honor societies recognizing academic excellence and community service.
Her publication, “How Foreign States and Terrorist Organizations Use Social Media to Undermine U.S. Democracy” (2018), was published online by the Albany Government Law Review.
Outside the office, Molly enjoys spending time with her family and supporting youth sports as a Coach Booster Club Soccer volunteer.
