Monica is a dedicated legal professional based in Brevard County, Florida. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law, where she was awarded a Merit Scholarship and actively participated in the founding of both the Howard Environmental Law Society and the Howard Family Law Society. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where she earned multiple honors, including the Zora Neale Hurston Award for community service.
In her current role, Monica focuses on lender representation, document preparation for complex commercial transactions, zoning and land use issues, commercial lease review and preparation, and individual representation of real estate and business purchasers and sellers. Her expertise in these areas allows her to work closely with clients, ensuring their legal needs are met with precision and care.
Monica’s legal career is marked by her extensive experience in real estate law, having served as an Area Manager at Fidelity National Title for nearly a decade. Her role involved managing three offices and the commercial division, ensuring compliance with title and legal standards in real property transactions, and reviewing legal documents to clear title in complex real estate transactions. Her closing experience ranged from simple vacant land deals to multi-state, multi-site commercial real estate portfolios.
Monica gained valuable courtroom experience and honed her legal research skills through her internships and clerkships including her time as a Judicial Intern on Brevard’s 18th Circuit Court and her legal Clerkship in DC Superior Court.
Monica has also volunteered her time towards child advocacy work at organizations such as National Center for Prosecution of Child Abuse and Brevard County Legal Aid Society. Her work with incarcerated individuals at Our Place DC highlights her dedication to social justice and legal reform.
Outside of her professional life, Monica enjoys spending time with her three boys and playing pickleball with her husband. She is active in her community with her involvement at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
