Monica R. Khirallah

Monica R. Khirallah is a seasoned criminal defense trial lawyer based in San Antonio, Texas, with a practice that extends throughout the surrounding counties. Known for her tenacity, courtroom experience, and unwavering dedication to justice, Monica has built a reputation as a formidable advocate for her clients. Fluent in Spanish, Monica is committed to serving a diverse client base and ensuring every voice is heard in the courtroom.

Monica began her legal career in the Denton County District Attorney’s Office, where she quickly rose through the ranks to become a misdemeanor chief prosecutor. This foundational experience on the prosecution side gave her a unique and invaluable perspective when she transitioned to criminal defense—a field that runs deep in her family legacy.

Over the course of more than a decade in practice, Monica has tried nearly 100 jury trials, a rare accomplishment that underscores her confidence and capability in the courtroom. Her skill and professionalism have earned her repeated recognition: she has been named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list every year from 2020 through 2025, an honor reserved for the top-rated attorneys selected through a rigorous evaluation process.

Monica is a proud alumna of the University of Dallas, where she completed her undergraduate studies, and she earned her Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida, graduating in 2011. That same year, she was admitted to practice law in the State of Texas.

Outside the courtroom, Monica lives in her hometown of Boerne with her husband, David Khirallah, a partner and trial attorney at Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons. They were blessed with four boys, Davey, Daniel(+), Gabriel, and Charlie, who share their parents' passion for legal justice. Whether coaching CYO sports at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton or enjoying time on the family ranch, Monica brings the same passion and dedication to her family life that she brings to defending her clients.
